Anti-racist Pedagogies for a Decolonized French Curriculum

In today’s diverse educational landscape, addressing systemic racism and promoting equity and inclusion within college campuses is paramount. This presentation explores three key avenues for practicing anti-racism within French literature and culture classes: course content, classroom management, and student assessment. I argue that anti-racist and decolonial pedagogies can improve student learning outcomes, foster social responsibility and intercultural understanding, and address systemic inequalities.
