Videoconferencing

The Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures manages three videoconferencing facilities--the Kermit Hall Videoconferencing Center (HH145), a mid-size videoconfercing toom (HH120C), and a smaller  videoconferencing room (HH120Z).The videoconference sessions in these rooms are managed by CLLC staff members who make the process as seamless as possible for the users of these facilities. Services include all testing prior to the sessions and adjusting audio and video as needed, technical support for the sessions, training in the use of the systems, and the possibility of recording the sessions for archival or reuse purposes.

The Kermit Hall Videoconferencing Center (HH145) has state-of-the-art Polycom videoconferencing technology, along with the ability to share content from computers, DVD players, VCRs, and a document camera. The room has a capacity of 25 and hosts all large classes, seminars, and workshops. Our mid-size videoconferencing room (HH120H) can host up to 10 people with dual screens for remote and local viewing. The smaller videoconferencing room (HH120Z) can host up to 6 people. All three rooms uses Polycom H323 technology and Skype Videoconferencing for small-sized distance learning classes, meetings, exams, webinars and workshops.
