Intercultural Gallery

The Intercultural Gallery serves as the visual portal for the diversity and cultural impact of each department. Hagerty Hall is home to 10 departments dedicated to the study of culture and language. The main entrance to Hagerty Hall displays the diverse cultures of our various departments as well as highlight both the undergraduate and graduate experience of our students. The main/central portion of the gallery with the pillars are dedicated to our departments. The gallery will present visual posters for each department/language (SPPO, FRIT, NESA, DEALL, Germanic, Slavic, African languages, ASL, Comp Studies).

Through a series of online and onsite exhibits in Hagerty Hall, the Intercultural Gallery presents a visual tapestry of the ways of life of peoples from around the globe and explores the many ways in which language and culture play an essential role in people’s lives. Through its visually appealing exhibits, the Intercultural Gallery will celebrate diversity and differences, similarities and commonalities, thus connecting people from different parts of the world, one to another.

It is our hope that through the selection of topics of interest to a variety of visitors, the Intercultural Gallery will celebrate worldwide cultures and present a human face to the customs, artistic creations, and cultural artifacts of other countries and other peoples.  Please contact cllc@osu.edu and Abhijit Varde for more information.
