ALI Intermediate/Advanced Study Abroad Grants

The Advanced Language Institute, funded by the Loann Crane endowment, will provide grants for undergraduate Study Abroad at the intermediate or above level in a world language (not English) for the following semesters:​

  • Spring 2025: 5 grants for up to $1500 will be awarded.

Application deadline is October 15, 2024. Decisions will be made and funds will be awarded by November 5, 2024.

 

Documentation required:

  • 350-word statement describing how the study abroad experience contributes to your academic and career goals
  • OSU transcript (Advising Report accepted)
  • Two letters of recommendation

 

Note: Applicants need to have completed 3000-level or above of the language at the time of applying for this grant.

​If an undergraduate student pursues a Study Abroad program NOT affiliated with OSU, they are still required to enroll in supplemental insurance and have their travel approved by risk management through OIA. In addition, their study abroad program has to be pre-approved by their department (if they expect to earn college credit) or from the CLLC if they are not earning college credit. The study abroad experience MUST be in the target language. ​
