CLLC Graduate Student Research and Internship Grants
The CLLC will award Research Grants for the following semester:
Applications are open on Scholarship Universe until October 14, 2026
Funds are eligible for research, conferences, and academic programs.
Please ask your referral to email the recommendation letter to both yourself for the application, and CLLCscholarships@osu.edu for verification, by the deadline. Use this fillable guide to help you ask for a letter of recommendation.
Documentation required:
- 350-word statement describing how participating in the research study contributes to your academic and future career goals.
- OSU transcript (Advising Report accepted)
- Two letters of recommendation from professors that (a) describe the suitability of the research study to the student's needs and goals and (b) attest to student's progress toward degree and overall commitment to the research study.
Apply for CLLC Scholarships Through Scholarship Universe
CLLC scholarships are administered through Ohio State's Scholarship Universe platform. To apply, log in to Scholarship Universe using your Ohio State username (lastname.#) and password. After completing your profile, you'll be matched with scholarships for which you may be eligible. You can also search for specific CLLC scholarship names using the search bar within Scholarship Universe. Be sure to complete all required application steps before the scholarship deadline.

Note: Applicants may apply for multiple different grants (through the CLLC website) for the same research project/program/conference. However, please note that if an applicant receives a grant (with the earlier deadline), the second award will be given to the same applicant only if funds are available after the award decisions have been made, and provided the applicant has not exceeded their requested budget with all funding sources.
