World Language Filmathon
The World Language Filmathon is a collaborative, project-based learning experience in which students work in teams to conceptualize, produce, and present short films in a target language.
The event aims to:
- Provide students with hands-on experience in creative storytelling and basic film production and video editing
- Strengthen language proficiency through applied, real-world use of the target language
- Develop students’ intercultural competence and creative expression
- Offer students an opportunity to showcase their work in a public presentation setting
- Participants are guided through the fundamentals of filmmaking, including narrative development, scripting, filming, and editing, culminating in the creation of an original short film.
