Description
This course covers the theoretical and pedagogical aspects of using technology to promote language learning & teaching and the methodological aspects of conducting research about computer/mobile-assisted language learning and use.
The general aim of the course is to provide the background that will help you make informed decisions about the use of technology over the next decade.
In this class, we will:
- Discuss the social and cultural aspects of computer/mobile-assisted language learning and use,
- Investigate the affordances and constraints of technologies for language learning and teaching,
- Design (and/or conduct) empirical studies about CALL, TELL, WELL, or MALL,
- Develop a mini curriculum that has major components of technology integration,
- Develop materials using web as major resource for your target learners.
